(Tattooing FAQ)

How much does a tattoo cost?

-Tattoo prices are based on time, the shop is $180 per hour. Consultations with our tattoo artists are free and they will be able to give you an approximate price/time quote at that time.

How do I make an appointment to be tattooed?

-All tattoo appointments must be made in person, as we’ll need to take a deposit from you. But free consultation appointments can be made over the phone.

Is my tattoo permanent?

-Yes. If you are concerned about it being permanent you should not be getting a tattoo.

Will it hurt?

-Yes. Everyone is different so we cannot tell you how much it will hurt, and location of the tattoo can impact the sensation. But if they were awful they wouldn’t be so popular, so don’t worry.

Do you tattoo minors?

-Never. You must be 18 years of age with valid photo id.

Will you tattoo me if I am pregnant?

-No, you must be at least six months post pregnancy for us to tattoo you.

Will you tattoo my hands?

-No, it is generally our shop policy to not tattoo hands, faces or necks.

Are your tattoos vegan?

-Absolutely! All of the tattoo inks we use in the studio are vegan, as well as our stencil paper and skin lubricant (keep in mind, Vaseline or white petroleum jelly is not vegan and we do not use it)

How soon can I go swimming after getting tattooed?

-Until it is fully healed, generally 2-3 weeks.

Can I bring my kids with me while I get tattooed?

-No, we appreciate if you do not bring your children with you as we cannot allow them in the tattoo area.

How do I prepare for my tattoo

It is a good idea to get a good night’s rest, to eat something substantial no more than two hours prior to your appointment, wear appropriate clean/comfortable clothing, avoid applying make-up or creams to the area being tattooed and if needed shave or trim body hair in the area specific to your work. Also consider bringing juice or a packaged snack (please be aware we are a vegan studio) if you have a lengthy appointment. And please do not drink alcohol heavily the day before.

I have a tattoo done by another artist, will you finish it/fix it/cover it up?

-That depends on your tattoo and which artist you speak to, as it is at their discretion. To speak with them about it please call the studio to book a free consultation appointment.

Do you offer temporary tattoos?

-No.

Once booked, can I change my appointment or get a refund on my deposit?

-To change a tattoo appointment date or time you must provide us with minimum 48 hour notice. Should you fail to provide us with adequate notice of appointment change/cancellation or be more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, your deposit will be forfeit. Deposits are non-refundable, regardless of notice. Voicemails, Email, Facebook or other social media platforms do not count as proper notice. If you are contacting us more than 48 hours in advance it must be via phone or in person. If you are contacting us less than 48 hours in advance of your appointment, regarding extremely special circumstances, it must be via phone or in person. All of other forms of contact regarding your appointment can not guarantee your deposit will remain valid.

(General FAQ)

Do I need to make an appointment?

-Generally, yes. You will usually need an appointment for tattoos but we will do our best to accommodate walk-ins. We do not take tattoo appointments over the phone but you can definitely call us to check our availability for walk-ins! Body piercings do not require appointments but they are highly recommended as the studio can get very busy and we cannot always guarantee service for all walk-ins (though we always try!). Piercing appointment can be made over the phone. But should you like to do a walk-in please be aware that we take our last body piercing walk-in no later than one hour before we close.

Do you have parking available?

-There is metered parking on the street (only until 3pm and after 6pm on the West side of the street) and we have a handy bike rack right outside our front door!

Can I bring a friend for support?

-Please, by all means bring a friend should you want their support but don’t bring ten! We only allow for one extra person in either of the tattoo or piercing areas.

Is your studio wheelchair/handicap accessible?

-It certainly is! We have no stairs to enter the studio and even have a fully accessible washroom for our clients.

What form of payments do you take?

-We accept cash, debit, Visa or MasterCard.

Do you sell gift certificates?

-Yes! We most certainly do! They can be in any dollar amount you wish.
